Tel Aviv has a hot-summer Mediterranean climate, with sea breeze and high humidity levels. Summer average temperatures range from 24 °C (75 °F) to 32 °C (86 °F) with 35°C heatwaves in the spring . Winters are cool and rainy mostly from December-April, with heavy showers and thunderstorms and temperatures as low as 9 °C (48 °F) to 17 °C (63 °F). 
Sunny days are very common throughout the year with more than 300 sunny days annually. Snow is extremely rare. The last recorded snowfall occurred in February 1950.
